I think this is the event in question:
On July 18, 1995, Warren reportedly had a violent confrontation with his wife Felicia. She told detectives that he had slapped her, choked her, and chased her when she fled in a car. In a July 21 press conference, Warren apologized for a "tremendous mistake" and said he would seek counseling. During his NFL career, Warren Moon was named to nine Pro Bowl games (1988–1995, 1997). Moon currently works as a broadcaster for the Seattle Seahawks. He was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006, becoming both the first Canadian Football Hall of Famer, first undrafted quarterback and the first African-American quarterback to be so honored. ReplyDeleteI laughed pretty hard at that too. probably 5 minutes prior to that comment i was thinking to myself "wait, which one is grizz and which is dot com? i can never remember"
Jenna saying "beat it Grizz or dot-com" isn't necessarily racist...
ReplyDeleteit also implies shes simply so self centered and caught up in her own in selfish bubble that she doesn't know which one is which. She just knows it's one of two.

ReplyDeleteI'm just now catching up on the last month of 30 Rock- watching the episodes online. When I heard the "Warren Moon 1995" reference I googled just that- and guess what I found? Your blog. Love the premise- and thanks for the explanation!
