Search
: blood alcohol level

Why: Police have imposed a drinking limit for motor-racing fans in New South Wales - to only 24 cans of beer a day.

Answer: The blood alcohol content limit at which a person is legally impaired to operate a vehicle is 0.05%. Also:
  • 0.02% for Australian Capital Territory learners, probationary & convicted DUI drivers
  • o.02% for truck/bus/taxi
  • 0.00% for learner drivers, provisional/probationary drivers (regardless of age) and DUI drivers in all other states
In the US, by the way, it's 0.08%.
