Answer: Yes! It is actually the base for the whole country, if you can believe it, at 1600 Clifton Road. There is also a Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry. Sounds like a nice place to host an event.
BUT! The building on "The Walking Dead" was actually the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, located at 2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway in northwest Atlanta. It had its grand opening in September 2007.

So long, CDC. What a poorly underused plot device. I really would have liked to have seen more sad shower scenes up in that piece.

ReplyDeleteI knew the CDC was in ATL because of this book "Panic in Level Four" (note, they were in level 5 in the show) but I had no idea about the exterior.
