Yeah, it kind of bugs me that a bunch of people hated the ending of the strip. I hated Cathy because it wasn't ever funny, however, the end seems fitting to me. She always wanted to get married and have a baby and what not, she was just worried it would never happen. Therefore, it seems odd to complain that she didn't become some strong, independent single woman, since that was never her motivation or goal in life.
