Was Shannen Doherty ever on "Little House on the Prairie"?

Search
: shannen doherty

Why
: Well, it's on my TV. This episode features an orangutan named Blanche.

Answer
: Yes! For all of Season 9 (the last season - also called "Little House on the Prairie: A New Beginning" and not starring Michael Landon). She played Jenny Wilder, daughter of Royal Wilder, brother of Almanzo Wilder, husband of Laura Ingalls Wilder. I'm not sure she was real.
I just read this in a blog comment:

Interesting revelation in Melissa Gilbert’s book that Shannen had a one night stand with Melissa’s then-husband, Bo Brinkman.

At the Emmy tribute to Michael Landon, Melissa walked past Shannen at the side of the stage. Shannen tried to give her a hug and Melissa confronted her with, “I know what you did with my husband.”

She says Shannen sneered back, “I told you I wanted to be just like you.”

Count it!

The More You Know: Speaking of people who were famous in the early 90s, I think you should feast your eyes on this. How many teen celebz can you count? I see at least 5.

  1. Confession: I would wreck Doherty. Something about her is really, really attractive to me, and the attitude doesn't hurt it.

  2. Ok I would just like to say that it isn't possible for shannen to do anything with Melissa husband at the time. Does anyone stop and realize shannen was 11 when she was ob little house?? Yes an 11 yr old had an affair with a womans husband which is twice her age...not! Melissa Gilbert stayed on that farm a little too long!

  3. Bo Brinkman and Melissa Gilbert didn't marry until 1988, 5 years after "Little House" ended. They stayed married until 1992, when Shannen was 21.

  4. Ok, so I counted 5. Urkel obviously, then everyone's fav sad sack, Jenn Aniston. Then, DJ Tanner and Winnie Cooper. THEN, that kid with the blond hair that was in a ton of stuff. I wanna say he was in Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. What's your count Carly?

  5. Ha that kid totally was in Dr. Quinn. Good eye / why do you know that.

I cheated and looked at the cast list - both Travis Birkenstock and Paul from "The Wonder Years" are in it, and also non-teens George Jefferson and Cliff Clavin - who, fun fact, is the 4th most successful actor of all time (based on box office revenue).
