The More You Know: Mmm, so they made that thing up. But the cockatrice, the camahueto, the cynocephalos - those are all real. There's even a family of flying mammals (only 2 species) called the Cynocephalidae (or flying lemurs).
I've read the Mermahuataur is a mythical creature of chile people. The weird thing is, about a week ago there was a wiki about it, i cant seem to find it anymore now :(
