What are ninjas?

Search
: what are ninjas

Why: At the vet today (Maddie, my pig-in-cat's-clothing, has swine flu), I watched something on Animal Planet about Top 10 Defenses or something. (Don't watch it - there's a whole thing about tarantulas that I kept accidentally looking at. Worst.) There was some weird line like, "Samurais are human versions of worker bees." Samurais and ninjas are both Japanese.

Answer: Haha here is a real simple Q&A:
1. What are ninjas?
Ninjas were Japanese warriors who were trained in the art of assassination and espionage. They would usually be given special missions due to this skill.

2. When and where did they live?
Ninjas lived in the 15th century. They mostly resided in Japan.

3. Who did they work for?
They would work under their feudal leaders, called Daimyo or Shogun. Sometimes, ninjas were also in a ninja organization.
