What can I do with used tea leaves?

Search
: what can i do with tea after i use it

Why: After you use them, the Harney & Sons sachets are just full of huge green leaves. They must be good for something.

Answer: You can:
  • Dump them in your outdoor plants as fertilizer
  • Place dried leaves in stinky places (shoes, refrigerator, litter box) to absorb odors
  • Rub on cutting boards to remove odors
  • Rub in iron pots and pans to prevent rust
  • Apply to mirrors as a cleaner, and wipe off with a cloth
  • Warm them in a pot for potpourri
  • Put them on your eyes to soothe and reduce puffiness

The More You Know: The Green Tea Lovers site calls used leaves "chagra." Dunno why. Strain them, spread on a paper towel, and blot to dry.
