When were Nate the Great books published?
Search: nate the great
Why: This. Even the words are nearly identical:
Answer: The first, Nate the Great, was published April 15, 1977. The one with Rosamond, Nate the Great and the Lost List, was published May 15, 1981.
Source: Amazon
The More You Know: The first Emily the Strange comic book, Emily the Strange, was published in 2001. Still, the publishing company somehow sued the authors of Nate the Great after people on the Internet pointed out that Emily is the same as Rosamond. They say Emily wasn't inspired by Rosamond - but even if she were, the statute of limitations on Rosamond's copyright is up. The case hasn't been settled.
