What does "otiose" mean?

Why: Just got this mass e-mail from one co-worker I don't know to another co-worker I don't know (who I will probably never meet because today is her last day):

Good luck on all all of your future ventures, weather they lead you to otiose bliss or well earned sweat, headaches and toil!!!!

She used a word I have never heard before, but also "weather" instead of "whether." I'm so confused.

Answer: adj. 1. being at leisure; idle; indolent. 2. ineffective or futile. 3 superfluous or useless.
