Is "fooferaw" a real word?

Search: fooferaw

Why: Jacob at Television Without Pity used it in his recap of last week's "American Idol" results show:
Okay, so I think there's time to get to the point of this show without much more fooferaw.
Answer: No, but foofaraw is:
  1. Excessive or flashy ornamentation.
  2. A fuss over a trifling matter.
Probably from Spanish fanfarrón, boaster. See fanfaronade, and from French frou-frou, rustling (of imitative origin)

The More You Know: There is some new "Power of Veto" thing going on on Idol this season, but I'm not exactly sure what it is because I have class Thursday nights and can't bear to sit through the results shows afterward, even though I DVR them. Stay tuned.
