How many ounces is 750 mL?

: ml to oz

Why: Doing some basic alcoholic math. Liquor is generally sold in 750 mL bottles, and 1 shot = 1.5 fl oz

Answer: 750 mL = 25.36 f.l oz (because 1 mL = 0.033 fl oz)

So 25.5 (per bottle) / 1.5 (per shot) = 17 single shots per bottle

Or um:
Thanks, pal.

However! There are 2.5 fl oz in a double shot (not 3), so that means a little more than 10 doubles in a bottle!

The More You Know: According to the OED, the word shotglass first appeared in print in the 1940s in a New York Times story about an effort to regulate the size of a shot of liquor in New York. According to normal metabolic rates, the liver degrades approximately 1 oz of [80 proof / 40%] liquor per hour in a healthy person.
