  1. After enjoyable experiences following it during the recent Winter Olypics, some friends and I went to the 2006 World Curling Championships in Lowell, MA. It was very strange to see crowds of fans who had traveled from places like Japan, Ireland and Sweden to cheer for their team. The Swedes were especially into it. It was the best night of sliding and sweeping I've ever spent.

  2. My favorite part is that the slider (Lead?) uses his sweeper (brush!) to balance while he's sliding that thing. Move over, bocce! I have a new favorite sport!
